Our safari 5 days budget camping safari leads to Tarangire; Ngorongoro Safari allows us to explore three of the premier parks on The Northern Safari Circuit. We start our adventure at The Tarangire National Park, so named for the life-giving river that winds its way through the park’s environs attracting a multitude of wildlife to drink of its sating waters. Roving on from Tarangire we take the opportunity to spend two nights on the Serengeti Plains, home to Planet Earths’ last great terrestrial migration, that of the wildebeest, zebra, and antelope. From here we make for the Ngorongoro Highlands, one of the seven wonders of Africa and a UNESCO world heritage site, the crater offers the premier game viewing experience in Tanzania if not the continent entire.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha town. Settle into your accommodation, ready to start your safari proper in the morning.
Our personal safari guide and driver will meet you at the hotel to undertake the drive, on good tarmac road, some hundred and twenty kilometers to Tarangire National Park where we undertake our first day of game drives. Tarangire well known for its elephant populations, three families numbering in the region of one thousand each, is so named for the life-giving Tarangire River which winds its way through the park and gives sustenance from its cooling waters to a broad variety of game that comes here to imbibe. We may hope to see zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. It is possible we will glimpse our friend Leo Panthera, Simba, the mighty lion stalking his prey or leopard watching and relaxing in the trees above.
An ornithological paradise, some four hundred and fifty birds have been here identified. Returning to our lodge for a hot lunch we again at 1400 hrs head out to continue our game viewing experience in the park. With the day coming to a close and the sun setting over The Rift Valley our driver will convey us to our selected lodgings for a delectable dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast we continue our journey, heading up towards the fertile highlands where wheat, coffee, and corn, are grown by the Iraqi people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we will be afforded a view of the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, Serengeti, and ‘Endless Plain’ in Maza, the tongue of the Maasai, which we will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania covering an astounding 15,000 km squared with diverse landscapes and habitats such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. It is upon this landscape the great migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope takes place and we will Endeavour to take the opportunity to witness the thousands upon thousands of animals on their search for food and water. With our enrooted game drive behind us, we lunch at the lodge and, at 1500 hrs, head out for our afternoon game drive. With the day drawing to a close we campsite in anticipation of excellent dining and overnight stay at Camp
After our hearty breakfast at the lodge, we head out to enjoy our wildlife adventure on the ‘Endless Plain’. There is to be found upon the plain an abundance of wildlife with over three million large mammals here resident easily justifying the landscape’s recognition as a UNESCO world heritage site. Other than the great migrating hordes we seek, we may also see cheetah, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland, crocs, Thomson’s, and Grant’s Gazelle, amongst many more. With over five hundred bird species identified the park is a veritable ornithological paradise, ostrich abound, secretary bird, marabou stork, and the largest flighted bird on Earth, the Kori bustard you will drive back to camp for dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Central Public Camp
After our hearty breakfast, we head out for an en-route game drive upon the Serengeti. Our en-route game drive brings us to the uplands of the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO world heritage site formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano that rivalled Kilimanjaro in height is 610 m deep and covers roughly around 304 square kilometres. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the Crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. We will arrive at the Crater rim and enjoy our lunch at our lodge, with our post-lunch rest revitalizing us we set off on a walking safari of about three kilometres along the crater rim to take in the awesome spectacle of this fabled landscape. Returning to the lodge we rest in anticipation of our dining experience and relaxation under the endless African night sky before heading camping site for Dinner and overnight stay at the Camp.
An early start today, rising at 0600 hrs for our breakfast before we descend the bumpy winding track, noting our passage through several climatic zones, into the Crater and, very quickly, we will be able to see wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephant, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck, we might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass. After our picnic lunch at the hippo pools and a full afternoon inside the caldera, we head up to the highlands again to undertake our drive back to Arusha Town, our adventure at its end, our memories and memory cards replete with images of the East African Wilds.
